Not yet.....just added my raingutter molding strip today. Also did Mod #2 to the screen door and put it on hinges with quick release hinge pins. I really do need a class in Hinge 101  It was tricky cutting down the first screen, not leaving it too big to not be able to add weather stripping seal or making it too small so it wouldn't seal, and all the while really still changing my mind as I went along trying to decide on what type of hinge I could make work onto the wood frame on the inside of the door frame. It works. Looks OK from the outside but not picture perfect inside since the hinges are a little crooked....I just hate that. This has truely been a trial and error project....lots of staples, screw, tacks etc. I don't think the screen frame could take any more changes. Still thinking about the privacy room the way you made it. Presently I am using a quick up solar shade tent for the porta potty and to change. Works pretty good too. This might be easier though.

Carol, what did you use to make the neat little table? That looks portable. 8)

Miriam....not sure which one the inside reading table or the outside side table you are asking about. The inside table is actually one of those breakfast in bed tables w/ bamboo trim (little fold out legs) gotten at Wally World. I used small velcro pieces to the legs and bottom of the table so the legs don't fall down (unless you are using as such for that favorite person you want to serve in bed) It is attached to the wall with 2 metal brackets found here on one of the threads. The legs are adjustable RV fridge rails from camping world. The ouside table started with me buying the adjustable leg and mounting bracket at RV stores on my way to Michigan to pick up the Teardrop. Since the guy I bought the trailer from was also her maker, and he had agreed ahead of time to install a fantastic fan for me if I decided to buy. So when I got there I asked him if he would mind mounting the bracket for me. So we played around a little doing measurements and proposed leg placement and when I returned the next morning......WALA! As a surprise he used some spare plywood and sanded it and stained it and I returned to see the new little table hooked to the side. I asked for the bracket and got the table. Covering it with the vinyl tablecloth and upolstry tacks was my idea for a retro look. Sorry for the long answer. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Ok Cheryl and all you gals....I broke down and bought the pvc pipe for the privacy tent thing and will try it on my next trip. So I planned on going to Wally World and getting the tab curtains like Cheryl but while I was out came across a Big Lots (wholesale and closeouts) and I found something perfect I just couldn't pass up. Cloth shower curtains only $3.00 each (got 3 just for good measure but will probably only use 2). The Scene is like something from camping in Yellowstone park....mountains, puffy clouds, blue water lake, pine trees, bears, racoons, moose, a brook, canoe, tents, lantern, grill, fishing pole and YES of course a tiny trailer or two (almost looks like a teardrop). So with 2 sets of ring curtain holders and some velcro I should be set to put it up and wow the neighbors. About the only thing this curtain doesn't have are little Dutch Ovens  I promise I will take a picture of the curtain panel so you all can see just how cute it is tonight or tomorrow and post it. I am not usually into real cutsie things but this just fits the bill and had to share.

Carol:

Can you remove your outside table for travel? The hinge looks like a piano hinge from the photo. I made a portable dishwashing table and made the hinge, that is permanently attached to the TD, by using a flat piece of thin metal (Home Depot roofing section) that already had several holes in it and molding it into the shape I needed in order to hang my dishwashing table on it. I am going to make a duplicate table for the other side but want to look at different hinge options, although the one I have works great.

Hey Ladies..................it's fun keeping this post alive!

Here's a pic of the women from my last kayaking trip. We were celebrating Ladies Day on the river and these gals were camping overnight and staying to boat the next day or for the weekend.

That's me in the background standing as we lifted our glasses to celebrate Ladies Day and a new drink I made.............River Punch! Of course it had to be blue. It's actually koolaide mixed with Greygoose Vodka.

This campgound doesn't have extra tables if you are camping out of your vehicle and keeping it in the parking area. My table and side table came in great for a trip just like this! Image

Barb I like to keep this thread alive as well. It looks like you had a great weekend. love the pic.
I am excited that this coming weekend I am going to the IDOS convention in LaPine Or. I cant wait to use my new ez-up canopy and my new pottie/shower tent and cook table. My dutch oven cook table wont be finished but it will have the legs on it so it will be usable. It is so fun to get out with friends and family with the tear.
This will be a first for my brother and sister-in-law so I am hoping that they get hooked and will be building a tear. he is already building a dutch oven cook table.

DO table

Postby CAJUN LADY » Mon Aug 27, 2007 10:25 am

Eunice:

Where are the pictures? You know all of us love pictures - show off your DO table and give details on how you built it.
:hammer:
I was lazy and bought one from Cabella's but for the Ft. Clinch gathering, I didn't use it - I used a galvanazed pan that that was larger than my 12" DO and the sides came up high enough for a wind breaker. Bought the pan at Home Depot (I like HD and they like my money) and it worked great. Only problem is still on ground level so next time I will break out the table.

do table

Postby Eunice » Mon Aug 27, 2007 10:47 am

right at the moment all I have is a sheet of metal for the table top. I am copying Jim's (bledsoe) and Joannes (desert dawg) tables. They have pictures on the forum (somewhere) I took pictures of Joannes at IRG1 last year and Jims at Mendo last month. I will post pictures as I get it together. Today I am taking the legs off of a table that has been sitting in the weather so not good for anything else.

Does anyone know... I think I am going to use aluminum for the windscreen simply for the weight issue. Aware of any problems with this?

Rebecca....Yep that table comes off real easy. The mounting Bracket/strip I'm using is the same they use on Jayco popups for their outside grill and also a table option. So for sure you can find it at any RV dealer that deals with Jayco. I actually bought mine in Michigan, but its also mentioned in a thread here try http://www.tjtrailers.com/store/table-support.html. This should take you right to it. Its like an interlocking lip 2 piece rail. One piece screws on the table edge and the other fits on the mounted tray-like piece on the trailer. Works great and super stable.

Barb....You guys look like you had a great time!

Boy Friday and a long weekend can't come soon enough.....What a killer of a day at work.....UGH!
