installing a drop down table/sink and other td questions

Postby Betty as in Boop » Thu Aug 30, 2007 11:01 pm

Hello,
I'm new to this and I am in the market for a td, hope to get one soon. (was considering an Eriba Puck but can't seem to find a decent one). I've done some research and need to stay light (tow vehicle is a new beetle). I'm looking at used and new tds. I would like to have one with a drop down table on the inside and have seen some on homemades, some of these also have sinks which I would like. First, I'm a little leery about buying a homemade so I am looking for advice about what to look out for. Second, I'm considering a Little Guy but was wondering if there is a drop down table that can be purchased to put in it or plans to make one for it. Also are sinks on the market, tips to install?

Thanks,
Betty

I use to have a 4 x 8 Little Guy and it would be a light enough pull for your Bettle but they are really small . I put in a sorta drop down table in ours by takeing the cabinets off of the bulkhead and putting them at the top of the front wall. Than I built a new bulkhead panel with a door in it that was hinged on the bottom with chains to hold it up for a table of sorts. This also gave me access to the lugage area with out going outside. I'll try to find some pics of it if I have them.

Just put a pic of the door/table and 2 of the small galley that I built for the Little Guy in my album hope this helps
Where ever we raise the hatch is home.
Darn blank states keep getting further away and we keep traveling slower ain't never gona get this map full.
