I think this one got lost. We found it at my job, out in the steel yard. That's me, behind the camera, taking the picture, far away from the teeth.

P.S. MJ, I read the photo instructions this time, is that better?

HMmmm that doesn't look like a gator, more like a Caiman. Do you work near a swamp or exotic pet store?

1) As that is a young one....where is the mama? :frightened:
Hopefully, it only "got away" from someone or unfortunately, someone may have "dumped" it.

2) What did you do with it?

That gator is about 2 years old and probably hasn't seen it's mama is quite a while or it might turn into a snack for her. They grow about 1 foot a year for the first 4 years and are considered mature at age 6. 8)

I don't know--I agree with Matt.

That doesn't look a gator. Looks like a croc.

i ain't no expert, but gators aren't striped like that.

Definitely an alligator. Baby alligators have stripes for camouflage.

Criky I'm not sure what happened to the little bugger after the photo,I think the guy holding it has a new pet.It has rained a lot here, but nothing I would call a swamp has imerged,no pet shops here,so maybe he got dumped by some world travler, just passing through. And caimen, gator, or croc, they all have sharp teeth so I'll be happy watching them on Animal Planet
