Now you guys have set the bar quite high with the lovely Ms South Carolina saying her piece (much enjoyed over here) so I feel we Brits needed an entry in the we-can-be-just-as-dumb-as-anyone-else competition.

Andrew, I seem to remember a story about a crane trying to recover a truck out of the water that falls in and the crane they tried to use to recover it went in also.

There is a separate category for dumb stories from Florida, the only location honored because of the number of really stupid things people do here! And how Ira hasn't made it on here amazes me :lol:

Sorry, Andrew - not even close. At least what happened to your bunch is chain-of-events funny. Miss SC is just plain one-shot embarrassing. Makes my skin crawl. IMHO she set the bar lower - as in a limbo contest.
