I decided to finish my galley

Postby rainjer » Sat Sep 08, 2007 7:38 pm

After a year & a half of using my trailer, I decide to start to finish my galley. Today I built the cooler tray.

All my new "toys" in the galley for the first time.

I have less tha 1/8" clearance between the top right corner of the cooler & my spar on the galley hatch.

The slide out for the stove will be on the left side. I am going to mount a 7lb propane bottle on the floor in the back with a hose running to the stove. The 2 gallon water jug will go on the floor also. I have decide to go with simple shelves in the upper part of the galley for the plates & dry food.

I like the tapered cabinet on the bottom...takes good advantage of the space, and kinda has a look in line with what I think is the "vintage" feel of the teardrops.

Note to self...steal this idea

Looks good, Rainjer! That <1/8" clearance will keep the cooler from sliding out during towing

Yeah, I planned it that way.... .... not really. I had to move one of my lights in order for my hatch to clear.

This is what I am planning on building for the stove pullout shelf. I am going to put a smaller propane tank & my 2 gallon water jug in under the shelf. That will leave an area of un-used space of 5-6" wide. I figure I can make use of the space with a spice rack/dry goods storage area. the open face will be against my center cabinet when closed. The wind screen behind the stove will fold down & double as a countertop. I just happen to have a extra formica from the counter that will fit on top.

Here is my revised plan.

I am going to try something different. I am going to put one drawer slide on the bottom of the spice rack & one on the left (back) side of the shelf.
