Homelands Security!

Postby demtears » Mon Sep 10, 2007 12:39 am

The border of my home town or should I say City, Population now being around 95 thousand and growing, Sarnia,Ontario, Canada to Port Huron, Michigan, USA has been crazy busy this past summer! In some cases waits to cross has been up to 3hrs. Driving from work to home I think and wonder about the people in their cars in the heat, or their kids holding themselves with the need to use the bathroom. Still waiting! Just to make the 5 minute drive across a steel structure on their way home. Sad but (But never again!)Just 6 years ago I drove down to the Bridge the night of 9/11 there gathered crowds on both sides of the steel structure we call the Bluewater Bridge. I would say less then a quarter kilometer apart holding candles and lighters and headlights anything that would lighten up the darkend sky that evening, and between are two countrys Canada and the US crowds that couldnt even see each other called out and said that we love you! back and fourth, It went Canada we love you! and Canada would reply we love you USA and it would also end with the chant usa! usa! usa! usa! usa! I will not forget the day or that evening where one country just shy of such tragedy still stood strong. And was able to wipe their Tears of loved ones that were lost or involved with that tragic day. to those who have lost or have been deeply touched by 9/11 I send my thought to you. to SFC Hall the men and women Serving who keep these two great countrys safe from Terrorists I will wait! after all your doing this for the people of 9/11 and for all of us. My humble thanks! :( :( :(
