dean ol' boy, I hate to say this, but that cheap crappy wood on the back side sounds like luan...the cheap luan, and once you get it installed..jump up and down on the trailer to shake it real good and see if it don't split somewhere else..

Jim,
It's spendy maple... I could've bought several sheets of luan for what I paid for one sheet of maple.
Don't know if you can tell from the pic what I did to correct it.
I glued 3/4" x 1 1/2" oak on top of it, with the interior blocking still in place.
I was able to get enough pressure on the break to get the ply back in shape.
What's nice is... I needed to put blocking there anyway for an interior shelf.
Kinda got lucky that the worm hole was where it was... :phew:

HEY now...I've still got two sidewalls on the galley side of the SunSpot that are covered in vintage late 70s avocada shag. I can't decide whether to preserve it for posterity or isolate and double bag it like all other hazardous materials and get it straight to a landfill. That doesn't even COUNT the tattered piece of Indian cotton tapestry being used as a 'shelf divider' to separate the galley side from the sleeping side between the roof and the top shelf

Oh yeah, we chicks just totally dig shag carpet whereEVER we can get it... 8) And dangling fuzzy dice...don't forget them if you've got the chance to get them in. The crushed velvet and tassels tear--THERE'S an idea, too!

Gaelen--sooo grateful that most of the avocado green shag has already been 'renovated' out. You don't wanna know what I did with the tapestry curtains, but I can tell you that melting was involved. ;)

Glad you were able to return through the wormhole, Dean.

It only took five days to install the 4 x 8 ceiling...

The maple looks real good and I'm really surprised that I was able to get the amount of bend in it without it exploding...
