I'm going to be building a teardrop for my scooter. Not going to use plans, just do it off the top of my head. Want to scale the Scotsman but don't know what to do about the fenders. :thinking:

looks like page 279 of the August 1938 edition. You might be able to get a copy through a library or inter-library loan.

I think it would be easy enough to build without plans. But maybe if you wanted it just for the collectors stand point of the original article it might be nice framed.
So my thoughts if your thinking of getting it for the plans just sit down with a pencil and paper and come up with an original.

Hummm...I hear you...getting the fenders to proportion (so they look right) has been a big buggaboo for me with a traditional-non-traditional profile!!!! Even if the CAD and Photoshop experts do a rendering...it may be hard to get just the size.....

Maybe start with the fenders you like, and freehand the modified Scotsman profilee around them????
