cad plans for the weekender?

Postby spchytr » Thu Oct 26, 2006 10:39 pm

I've been looking for a cad file with plans for the weekender to work with in building my own tear and have had some trouble finding any. I found some pictures, and plan pictures but would like to work with them cadstd. If anyone has plans for this I would greatly appreciate being allowed to work with them a bit.

Thanks,
Martin

Let me see what I can come up with... I may be able to find the old plans for this design. I could also whip up something fairly quickly...

CADstd... you're working in 2D, right?

Well I don't have anything in 2d yet...

I did create this model of the weekender this morning, and you can view it using the free viewer Cortona.

I'll download CADstd and experiment with getting a dxf imported into it.

Meanwhile, give the vrml a spin!

Mike...

P.S. If you need cortona, go here... http://www.parallelgraphics.com/products/cortona/

P.P.S. Broadband is recommended... the wrl file is 15 megs...

P.P.P.S. Oh yea, hit the study button before starting your spin to keep things under control! :o

P.P.P.P.S. Okay, I imported the dxf into CADstd, and it worked fine... so here's the dxf file... (Click on "Save Link as" if in Firefox)

Hey Mike I've been really going over the Weekender home page getting ready to start mine & have a ? On the site it says " the discussion, and plans will be for a 4x8 FAST Plywood Weekender" but everything I've found is based on 4x10. Do you have any drawings based on 4x8 that I havent found?? If not thats fine.

I purchased the Harbor Freight trailer today so I'm on my way. Has anyone relocated the axel (aft) when using one of these for a Weekender?

Thanks,
Steve

I asked Andrew if he could make a PDF of the weekender, and he did just that! Here's a wonderful set of plans of the weekender for those of you who have been requesting it...

Mike...

P.S. Jen, if you are out there, I hope you find this, as I lost your email address in the crash.
