LCG II Convoy Section - Who When and Where From

Postby ARKPAT » Wed Sep 12, 2007 8:32 pm

I know a little early but we have done it in the past. We can start the Convoy to LCG II here and make plans for the New people and the ones that are making the trip the first time to LCG.
This will help out and get every someone to travel with for safety and fun. :vroom: :vroom: :vroom:

Wouldn't that be great to see going down the road a group of TTT's and Tear Drop campers heading to LCG. 8)

Madjack here we come. :D

AuntiM, I don't know exactly where ya live but the 2 choices would be to goto Ft Smith Ar and head straight down US71 to Shreveport, where you will hit the I-220 bypass going East to I-20 and the Doyline exit...if you do come down thru Little Rock, take US 167 to Ruston La and catch I-20 West...

To anyone coming from Texas, into Shreveport on I-20, take the !-220 bypass and avoid(at all costs) going thru downtown Shreveport/Bossier City, where the hiway is a buggerbear and somewhat scary...(

I'm up for any of that kind of thing .... breakfast, meet halfway ... whatever.

I'm right off I-40 just a few miles east of Oklahoma City .
I don't know exactly yet if I'll leave Thursday or Friday ...

traffic

Postby starleen2 » Thu Sep 13, 2007 3:13 pm

Yes, Jack particularly through Bossier city - the lanes squeeze down to two narrow lanes each way and is quite bumpy and rough. Especially on Friday when folks are trying to get to them casino boats (or those distracted by the shiny lights) traffic gets hectic. Good advice.

I called the Park today and reserved a spot (#3) which I hope isn't right next to an open pit latrine.

I'm in the KC Metro area (Mission)

Let me know if they're any folks from this area coming down.

We were considering getting to the park on Thursday, and there will be at least 4 in our convoy if anyone is thinking about getting there a day early we would be glad to meet up with someone. And there is a possibility that we will have an extra space available for those still un-decided folks. we could also wait and leave out early FRI. morning if someone needs us to wait just let us know We live just south of houston
