Super job Mary K.! I love the wooden fenders too. They rock! Such neat and clean lines.

I'm late a always.... but it looks absolutely wonderful! What has me scratching my head is that your first ever project in wood was the front box, and now you've turned out this beautiful trailer. You've had a woodworker living inside you all these years and you didn't even know she was in there!! :? (or something like that).

Great job! I'm proud to be associated with such a talented group of builders! I never cease to be amazed.

Enjoy that first outting. Be forwarned though! You won't be able to wipe that silly grin off your face for the entire weekend (and probably some days after you return).

You go girl!

:embarassed: Golly Gee Wizz, all these complements are making me blush.

I will try to answer some question & comments.

First thing that comes to mind...YES, I know I took a bazillion pictures :D I just wanted to help the next newbie out with their build. Plus digital pictures are CHEAP!

Really, this is my first real woodworking project. I think what helped me was my experience of 16 years of designing and drafting. I can lay something out and cut it out with a saw. This TD did not come out perfect by any means...but I was told not to point out the flaws.

I have built a shield generator to repel lovebugs and small rocks. AND it runs off 12volts.

The fenders... Ya know, I started making the first fender with the thought that it would not look right, and not work....cause I didn't know what I was doing. But, amazingly it work out, so I made another one like it. My intentions were to replace them when I could afford some real ones... silly me huh?

I am NOT building another TD!! First, I have neglected my house for a whole year, I got some catching up to do. Also, I'm gonna go camping, and then I'm gonna camp some more...and then a whole lot more camping....so who's got time to build another TD? I'm gonna have my hands full with keeping this one in shape anyway. BUT!! Maybe, one day, I might want a TTT...we will see.. ;)

For everyone that said I have inspired them, know this, you can do anything you set you mind to, Just DO IT. If you don't know how, figure out a way, ask, cry, whine, squeek, and irritate others until they help. Build it One step at a time. Don't stress over how the spars will install if you are still working on the floor. You are not going to figure it out until you have the sides up and 1x2's in your hand. Take your Time. Enjoy the journey!

As long as the Tachyon emissions are within safe levels, you should be fine.

MK:

Girl - you are awesome! That is a beauty of a Teardrop and I know by those feet of yours just a jiggling away that you are just as proud as the rest of us. I hope one day I get to see the "Crows Nest" in person.
Now it's time to camp, relax and grab a cold one :relaxing:

Yup, I got to keep an eye on that

In future upgrades, I plan on incorporating a structural integrity field in to the design.... A replicator would be nice too, but that just wouldn't be camping would it?

Maybe an interior Holodeck? Wonder if you could have interior headroom then? That adds interesting possibilities.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

 Heck, you could have the Presidential Suite and the Four Seasons Hotel in side.....but that wouldn't be camping either. :applause:

I'm late to the party, but I gotta say, that's one nice TD.

She has a nice butt. (I hope it's a she  ) The rear end of TDs are often the least attractive, but I like the simple, clean, and balanced look to your rear end -- er, your trailer's that is.

Good job all around.
