I'm planning to bring a big bowl of Frog Eye salad (cold citrus/tiny pastas/whipped topping/etc...) and a spicy mushroom casserole. I'll also have a bottle or two of Cuervo for Tony and lots of plastic 'rita cups.

It's less than a month away, WOO HOO!! :D :dancing :applause:

Repeating a post I made on another thread (because it is important), what about Gumbo?

I'll bring a gas cooker, a pot, ant the stuff to make it, but I've never made it before. Any true cajuns willing to break in a Gumbo cookin' virgin, so to speak?

I got the cookin' implemets -- just need some guidance.

Oh, I plan to be there. I hope the weather is a little on the chilly side, too. Good gumbo weather.

Well, I already opened my mouth and promised dirty rice and was accused of not knowing how to make it if Im from Kansas...but I'm gonna make it any way and I'm making my famous Corn Casserrole. Some of you might remember it from Minden ITGII. It's hot and good!

I will make my DO Pumpkin Pecan crisp that I made last year .... plus bring a bunch of okra from the garden ... it can either go in the gumbo or I will fix some fried okra!.

Plus dont forget .... breakfast on Saturday morning .... Mountain Man casserole and homemade cinnamon rolls .... everyone's invited. Anyone that can bring juice / coffee / fruit / napkins / paperplates .. would sure be a big help. Trudy
