Here is a recent interview of My Father in Law and his homebuilt airplane that he spent ten years in the construction. He was invaluable help in the construction of the windsong teardrop.

I love it when you see someone like that who has an idea, that sticks in their mind and they finally see it all come together. I'm sure he was a help in your tear build, not only with techniques and tools, but inspirationally....a nice thing to have around....what a cool project, my hats off to him!!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Doug

Wow... What a great guy... and a wonderful story too. It is truly inspiring to see someone fulfill a dream like that; particularly starting at age 64. We have an active chapter of the EAA here too; and it is amazing to see what some of those folks are doing. Most of them are retirees as well. My hats off to him as well. :thumbsup: :applause: :applause: :applause:

I am really facinated by people that have a dream and make it come to pass. :applause: :applause: :applause:
