Unable to Update at the moment

Hi all,

Well the Inkwell is sitting for a couple weeks. I am in no shape to work on it until after the surgery for my knee and perhaps I will have to wait until they do the second knee as well. It's really frustrating. However, I've been taking advantage of the down time to work on my new computer. My laptop is finally fixed and I can pick it up tomorrow but...I have a doctor's appointment in the opposite direction so I'll have to wait until Thursday.

As frustrating as it is for me not to be able to work on the Inkwell, it's nothing compared to me not being able to work on the computer. So, I purchased a new one, which I needed due to a lightening strike at the house while we were away. I like the new computer but I hate adjusting to the "updates" in the software. Why they can't keep the same functions in the same locations beats me. I like the extras but please leave the regular functions where they were from volume to volume.

Okay, I'm done gripping. I actually had a good day today. I managed to write two chapters and only have 8k words left to write on the first draft of this novel. This is a good thing. It's due mid Nov. and I know I'll be editing all month to get it into shape.

Oh Lynn sorry to hear you need surgery on your knee. It is is good thing you built big so you will have an exercise room. We'll be praying for you

Good luck on the next book. The last one was so smoothly written I can't imagine your needing luck 8) ;)

I HATE that! I've gone so far as to uninstall new versions and install '95 versions for some of the people in my office who just refuse to learn (and I don't blame them).

Hoping for a speedy recovery for your knee(s).
