Any sleepwalkers here?

Postby Ira » Tue Oct 09, 2007 3:16 pm

Me--yes.

Never as a kid, developed it as an adult, and they say that when THAT happens, you have it for life, whereas kids grow out of it.

Just one story for now, from a long time ago:

I wake up during the night, go to the refrigerator, get on my knees, and start shoving salami and lettuce into my mouth nonstop--yelling that this brand of salami stinks compared to the other one. Yelling like a lunatic.

My wife witnesses the whole thing, knows from experience what I'm up to, and asks me about it the next day. Then I kind of remember, and apologize.

Weirdest thing is, I usually hate salami.
Here we go again!

I sleep walked when I was kid and have as an adult also. but has been a long time since I could confirm it. I will sometimes get up in the morning and most of the lights in the house are turned on. Or an outside door is opened.

That sounds more like an abduction story. Maybe a new topic.

:o Our son used to sleep walk. We woke one night in a motel in St. Augustine FL to "I'll get it." My son had jumped up, ran across the bed and was just about to open the door. Someone next door was coming in drunk. :? One night he thought the house was on fire and tried to get everyone out.

Pretty scary for him to know he might wander off like that.

I used to sleep walk a lot, been a long time I'm glad to say, heres a short story. ....I was about 15 at this time, I got up about mid-night (Nude) went out the front door, and down the road about half mile, to a mill that was working at that time , to buy a coke out of a machine. of course with no pants, I didn't have any money...... LOL . and while trying to find my pockets I woke up. well, all I can say is I'm glad I didn't walk to town like that.,,,, LOL ...... the only person who saw me (I Hope ) was my grandmother who lived with us back then. when I came running back into the house she said where in the world have you been without any clothes on !

Episode 1

Postby Creamcracker » Thu Oct 11, 2007 6:47 pm

My wife and I were travelling in Canada not long after we moved to the US. It was around 1986 and my wife's mother and father were with us. Any way my wife woke up to the sound of her mother and father arguing over the sheets --- as this went on for a few minutes she became fully awake and realized that I was not in bed. She assumed I'd gone to the bathroom but when I didn't return after a few minutes she got up and went to the bathroom to check on me. She put the light on and it dimly lit up the bedroom area where her mother and father were still tugging at the sheets. In the semi darkness she spotted three pairs of feet sticking out from under the sheets. Seems like I'd taken refuge right in the middle of the bed between her mum and dad! I know because "I was there" and they told me about it the next morning........

then there was the time I woke up outside the house in the rain "au natural"......later maybe

My boyfriend will walk in his sleep occasionally, but talks in his sleep all the time. There have been times when we'd be having some odd conversation in the middle of the night and I'd actually wonder if he was awake.....that's when he'd get up and walk directly into a wall.

Last night, he asked me, "Have the trees stopped growing?"
He seemed very concerned about it, and I had to reassure him several times that the trees were just fine.
