Sorry to hear it's cancer for you Miriam. My dad had prostate cancer many years ago and they put a radio active seed inside him and it worked. Medical science has come a long way since then so you should hopefully be okay. Best wishes to you may the lord be with you, Danny

My best friend and long time mentor is going through cancer therapy now too. It is looking good too! He had a brain tumor and it is gone... completely disolved! He has other issues as well, but they can really work miracles now days. You sure have a lot of friends pulling for you... I bet all will go well.

Thanks all. I let the Dr do the kicking. Dainty feet ya know. This kind they take the thyroid and then in about 6 weeks they give you radioactive iodine to kill off all the other cells that may have migrated.

I'm sorry, I'm so happy, I can't quit grinning.

Miriam is out of surgery and she came through it with flying colors.
They removed the rest of the thyroid gland and 2 or 3 small lymph nodes and the doctor says everything looks clean. He is sending the lymph nodes off for biopsy and should have the results early next week, but he said everything looks fine. The bruising this time is minimal, but she has to keep the drain tube in for 3 days. She is taking pain medicine, of course, but not much because she says it was not as painful as the first surgery.

Anyway, she says she misses you all and wishes she could be here, rather than where she is. And she said to thank all of you for the prayers, positive energy and good vibes, they worked.

She gets out in the morning, and may be back on here tomorrow night.
