LCG bring a bike?

Postby oklahomajewel » Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:07 am

Last year , walking walking walking..... not that I can't do it, or am out of shape (I can run up 2 flights of stairs and not get winded!haha)

But the campground is BIG and there are so many of us... I got a bike carrier for my car and will be bringing my bike to get around a little easier/ quicker. '

If you don't bring a bicycle, bring good walking shoes !!!

AND is there just the one bath house for the whole campground? It didn't seem to be a problem last year, and everyone seems to be careful about spreading out the shower times , etc.

Anything else y'all can think of for this big shindig ???

Firewood, bike, food, sweater, teardrop ring, tennis bracelet, tiara, bling bling, halloween decor, candy for the kiddos, wine & beer......camera, smiles
OH --- THOSE CALLING CARDS TO HAND OUT !!! I want one of yours!
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

heh heh heh we were just talking about that. We didn't see too much of the park last time. We figured we'd bring bikes this time so that we can see more.

I think I'll bring my bike too. Hey maybe we can form a biker gang  .

Speaking of getting around:

My mom is going to come for Saturday afternoon/evening. Excessive walking may be too much for her. Does anyone know where to rent one of those scooters like Wal-mart has?(I hope that this isn't a considered a hi-jack.)

A lot of these places that rent medical supplies will rent mobility scooters. I've heard that Avis car rental rents scooters. Don't know if you have to rent a car to get one.

We're planning on bringing our bikes, that is if we get to come. Joyce is having "issues" with getting off from work that Friday. :(

They wouldn't want her going in to work if she was sick, and she can tell her supervisors that Dr. Tony said she was coming down with a south central tear infestation that was going to last 3-5 days. She shouldn't be around sane people during that period. Take two margaritas and call me in the morning.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

OH NO!!!! :o You MUST , HAVE TO be there..... Cindy of the Bluebonnet tear can give her pointers, but essentially starting on Monday she needs to complain of a headache, then tuesday don't wear any eye makeup to work and say that your eyes have been so red and itchy.... wednesday go around noonday and ask all the co workers if they have any sudafed or advil or ... thursday do a little soft moaning and when she gets up to go to the copier or something , make sure the coworkers see her rubbing her temples......

you get the idea....

WOW ,.... I guess it's a good thing I brought it up !

Mine's a mountain bike but I'm not using it for any rough mountain biking, just to ride around a little and see each other easier, etc.

This weekend I need to put the carrier on the Honda Accord and see how it hangs.

Julie,

Joyce is a school counselor at a large middle school, and they normally are staffed with five counselors, but they were cut one this year, and to top that off, one has recently been reassigned, leaving only three. Anyway, teachers can get subs, but when a counselor is off, the others have to take on the extra work. Joyce would not leave her coworkers in a bind, so we'll just have to see what her work load looks like that week. She has promissed to let me know no later than that Monday, and that's the best she can do. :(

Steve's right, I think all schools are really strapped staff wise this year. Cindy it actually doing LCG the legal way this year and is taking a personal day and like Steve says she'll be replaced with a sub.
