The Simplex bikes were/are American made.
They are still out there, but the restored models go pretty high...thus my wish for a "needs restored" model.

I have a homemade Whizzer style bike, but it vibrates, is noisy, and is not very smooth.
A friend let me ride his Simplex, and it was like a Cadillac compared to mine!

My dad has a 1948 J Simplex that I restored for him several years ago. I will have to get some pics the next time I go up to his house. It is a cool bike. Gets about as much attention as a tear does.

Anyone have one they want to sell?
I'm looking for one that needs a restoration, but will consider anything!

Rob

Rob, these are new to me but they appear to be very popular with others and with the military.
Only down side (for me) is the engine size. It looks like it is 125cc which means it should be licensed (to le legal in Indiana). My Honda 50 is just under the limit for that.

And on this one, I know I'm not allowed to talk about guns... but this doesn't really count does it?

Did't Popular "Whatever" have plans years ago for something called a Boonie Bike? Looked something like The first one pictured by Sgt. Hall. The Scooter with the recoilless rifle is scary--do you fire it on the fly?

The original pic at the top is so cool- it has everything, wheelie bars, spoiler, flames, tuned pipe, only thing better is if it ran on alcohol.

Actually... this one does run on alcohol! It really needs that wheelie bar.
