After compiling and editing the master list above:

I see there may be a need for some Vegetable hot side dishes Image

I will try to think uP at least 2 hot Vegetable dishes to put on the table
if people will eat Vegetables or should I shine this idea onImage
Do you think there will be some that would want Vegetables at the eventImage

What do you think JackImage
How is the list fleshing out in your opinionImage

Don't think we have everyone listed as of yet ... so there is a chance that
more people will contribute and list what they are bringing.

Jack ~ 8)

I was more thinking of some colors like orange, yellow, red, purple and GREEN for ;)
starters on the veggie menu ~
I was thinking onions, and colorful peppers in a roasted melody might enhance
the meat that is your plates treat, for one added dish.

But now if you think the above mentioned rice, slaw and beans are enough ..
I will think of something else to enticeImage

I was checking the list and the only beverages are alcoholic. Now that's not a bad thing. :D I was wondering if anyone was bringing bottled water or sodas?

I was thinking about bringing about 4 gallons of sweet tea. This is the South afterall.

So Rocky ...will you bring sweet tea? If so, I or Darren could try to bring water or lemonade.

That is if folks would like drinks provided ... then don't have to carry a drink from you own site. Although I can't afford enough wine for everyone.....

Are we there yet? I know the barbeque will be finger lickin good, so we probably won't use these things, but we'll be bringing napkins and plastic cutlery (the meat will be so tender plastic should work fine.) Also bringing 8oz foam cups (for the coffee drinkers.) For the potluck we'll be making "DO" sweet potatoes.

Ready to escape,
Rick & Linda :)

Yep I'll bring some. Mel and I had discussions on where we should get it. There is some that you can buy at the grocery store that is pertty good but the tea from the fried chicken place is better. Even though the stuff from the chicken place is better, it doesn't "keep" as well as the grocery store tea. I guess they filter it somehow so it doesn't taste funny after a couple days.

Regardless of where it comes from, I'll bring some tea. I'll bring cups too we have to buy some for the house picking up some more wouldn't be a problem.

Lets plan on breakfast 9:00 AM ... for those late sleepers (or those that arrive Friday night late). Getting stuff ready to go .... we went camping this past weekend ... spent most of it in a heavy rain. So hopefully the rain will get it out of its system this week and I KNOW we are going to have a beautiful sunny weekend. Trudy
