Who's Your Presidential Candidate?

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Not surprisingly... I don't like any of them much either.
The scores I got seem to attest to it:

John McCain = Score: 33
Duncan Hunter = Score: 31
Fred Thompson = Score: 31
Mitt Romney = Score: 30
Sam Brownback = Score: 29
Tom Tancredo = Score: 29
Joe Biden = Score: 28
Jim Gilmore = Score: 27
Mike Huckabee = Score: 24
Rudy Giuliani = Score: 23
Bill Richardson = Score: 23
Barack Obama = Score: 16
Hillary Clinton = Score: 16
John Edwards = Score: 16
Ron Paul = Score: 14
Chris Dodd = Score: 9
Mike Gravel = Score: 9
Dennis Kucinich = Score: 9

My wife and I took the test, independently, and we both came up with the candidate that we are supporting...time and dollar wise. And he's not one of the "household name" candidates. It seems that the test might have some validity.

Danny, I'd like to encourage you to look into the candidate that scored well on your issues and ideals. Please don't write him off yet if you don't know who he is... give it some investigation. The test might be more valid than you realize.

J.B. your absolutely correct and he is in my radar now, time will tell if he becomes a front runner and on the ballot. I've got to vote for someone, it's my civic duty. :) Danny

These tests come out every election cycle, and a whole lot of people get surprised by who matches up with them on the issues.

Goes to show that, especially with presidents, we tend to gravitate toward the personality we like more than the person with the same policy positions.

I think the mainstream media, which looks for good ratings (which = good advertising revenues) wants to see a showdown between Hillary and Rudy. I'm not looking forward to that.

Dig deep, do the homework. If all you know about the candidates is what you hear on TV, you don't know squat.

...not too suprising that all the Dems scored a 49...what was amazing to me was that Rudy and Mitt tied with a 45...not far behind the Dems.............

Who's Pat Paulsen?

Seriously folks, I think they had me pegged as soon as I put in my ZIP code, but what's weird is how some of these things score, like the Not Important/Important buttons have a huge impact:

Kucinich: 46
Giuliani: 44
Hillary: 42
Edwards: 42
Obama:42

Kucinich and Giuliani are that close to each other?

Weird--Giuliani WOULD be my Republican choice, but Edwards is my Democratic one and my 3-way tie there now both scares and enlightens me. Problem for me is Edwards may be knocked out of the box before the Florida primary anyway, if we're forced to hold the later primary and not the earlier one that the state Dems are fighting the federal Dems about.

But why don't any of these bastards agree on partitioning Iraq? Only Biden agrees with me on that.

Also, I think personalities DO matter, and that's why this blind taste-test only tells part of the story. The test also doesn't gauge how well you perceive any of these guys to actually be able to ACCOMPLISH any of these things.
Here we go again!

Now, can someone tell me how I get my vote?
