Colour code: red gutter, blue body, green door, black seal.

Because of the angle of the body, you wouldn't have to use a gutter-shaped piece and I think just something like 3/8" square wood strip would do it and yet still bend around the door opening.

My plans so far included everything but the red. I am thinking it needs something. GPW included

Now if I installed a piece of alunimunm (sp?) flashing that stuck up, say 1/8", would that take the place of the red? Bending it around the curve of the door I think would make the u-shape a challenge, and unnecessary. I like the idea of GPW's internal channel.

Forgot to mention a rubber seal on top of the gutter channel strip where it meets the door...safety man

Seems like that would be more of a catch then a gutter. Home depot has a door trim that is very flexible and has a pice of alum and rubber all in one you may want to look at that as you could wrap the entire door with it and have the rubber stick out slightly over the exterior. I ama useing it on my doors to seal I will take a pic of it tommarrow for you and post it.
My Idea of plans are a tape measure, a saw and a dream.

Still working on the door seal.
Image
And the hatch seal.
Image
With the clamp shortage my other project is wiring and battery.
Image
Had to drill a hole through the floor (I was scared) to bring the wires in. The 1/2" pvc was a tight fit and will fiberglass the top in. It is currently clamped on the top plus undercoated underneath. I stole a battery out of a lawn mower and put it in (before you call the police note it is my lawn mower) the battery box. Tomorrow when I run out of clamps, I will be wiring the battery. I am putting a relay and circuit breaker in the tow vehicle, should I put a circuit breaker in the trailer?

I am currently building what is in blue in Andrews drawing.
Image
Image
I use alot of clamps for this. Here is a close up of the ply gluing together. The inside piece is two thin (52mm?) ply, glued together, being careful so the seams do not line up together.
Image
More work on the hatch.

And I leave you with a shot of the tail with a Florida tag.

Still working on the door seal. A piece goes in between the clamps at the top and time for sanding and fiberglass.

It rained most of the middle of the day so I had to change my efforts today. The trailer is undercover so I primed and then painted where the h. hinge goes.
Image
After dinner the rain stopped so I was able to cut out the last pieces for the door lip.
Image
Continued on building the lip for the hatch.
Image
Started on the left side hatch lip.
Image
I need more clamps.
