I didn't want to do a complicated electrical system for my TD. Not because I'm afraid of it, but I just wanted to go simple.
I have a simple pas-through wire chase on the left side wall, that I run a 12-guage extension cord through when I get to camp. I then have a heavy-duty three-way that plugs into the extension cord. My Air-conditioner is plugged into one outlet, and a GFCI and surge-protected power-strip plugs into another.
Any items I want to plug into power, I plug into the power-strip.
All the wires inside the TD are secured to hard surfaces with little plastic clips made just for the purpose. No rat's nest of wires.
I didn't do any splicing, soldering, or use anything more complicated than a basic household power strip.
My utility lights are battery powered stick-up lamps.
