Oh, I got two other letters telling me I won the lottery in England, but I guess I didn't respond fast enough, so now I got an inheritance too...

Wonder what I'll get if I wait a little longer... ;)

This is all kind of interesting, human nature and all, and would even be funny if it weren't for the poor souls that fall for it...

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

thats actually one of the best written scam letters i have seen
the horrible part is that they do it because some people believe it and when yo uwrite back they say they need money for fees and such then they will wire you the cash
the funniest thing about this is that the executer of a 30 million dollar will wouldnt have a yahoo address and certainly wouldnt be sending you an email they would fly someone over to meet with you along with the mountains of paperwork

HAHA!
Some of the best fun can be had, screwing with these guys. They call it scambaiting....
Set up a ficticious gmail account, and start leaving that email address on every internet guestbook you can find. Soon, your inbox fills up with these wonderful emails. Choose one and make up a story to get the guy on the hook.
A friend and I did this once, the original email stated that the attorney was writing on behalf of a dying woman who had a son, and millions of dollars. I wrote back, and claimed that I was not interested in the money, since I myself was a millionaire, but was interested in adopting the child since I could not have children of my own. I brought in my friend, who acted as my attorney. It was hysterical. We kept this guy on for about 3 months, and got him to send us some really goofy pictures. Another plus is that we kept the scammer busy and hopefully saved someone else from getting scammed.

Rob, since money is the root of ALL evil and you are such a nice guy, you really don't wanna respond to this...if you will send me a check for $5,000 USD, I will get in contact with this barrister on your behalf and take care of all fees involved in YOU declining this money...but ya better hurry :D ;)

We eventually took it to such a rediculous level that he finally figured it out. My "attorney" (from the law firm of "W. E. Cheetam and Howe") told him that we were having our associates "Bert and Ernie" fly over to Africa to meet him and take care of the details. After a few lines like that he told us that he would have Starsky and Hutch pick them up.
Oh, and I went by the name of JeanPaul Georgenringeaux.

I feel pretty generous today...and what the heck, all that money would just spoil me anyway...

So, to all my teardrop friends, I leave you to fight over my fortune.

If someone can wring a few bucks out of Jose, next time we meet at a gathering, buy me a beer and we'll call it even!:D

Rob, who has no need for riches...though "extra" money would be okay
