No, not really. It's just that he's been having such a hard time doing anything the last few years that it was good to see him up there. I'd just bet you, if it wasn't for his money, Penske would have dumped him long ago. As far as Nextel is concerned, Carl Edwards is my man. Been that way ever sense I saw him drive trucks. Then there is Ron Hornaday. I've been a fan of his for some 30 years. Ever sense he broke onto the scene at Saugus Speedway.

Did you know that Kevin Harvick use to drive for Ron Hornaday?

I used to race slot cars against him. He still owns a couple of houses here in Palmdale. He sold his business (down in Newhall) shortly after he moved back to Earnhardt country. Harvick drove his South/West car for about two years. I think the relationship they have now was at first a kind of 'returning the favor'. I don't think you'll ever see him back in a cup car because of all the young guns that are trying to get rides now days.
