Miriam, your craftwomanship is amazing. Your cute little box is beautiful! I would love to see your trailer in person. Joanne has a great idea of having a ladies gathering.

Honestly Girls, you have all been an inspiration to me from the very beginning. Thank you so much!

Joanne, The Desert Dawg gave me lots of ideas to make over. Everytime I told myself I had lost my mind I went to your website. If a lady with real fingernails could do this so could I. Just teasin, sort of.

Sally I saw your Td and it is so beautiful.

And Mary K. Who is out pacing me and sharing how to's has been such a blessing.

A girls campout would be lots of fun. The trick would be to find a middle of the country to do it in. Maybe find out how many women are interested and find a middle from there. ;)

John---I haven't beat you yet. That is a good idea and I might just do it. I put door stops on the inside and moved the door up some, it helps. Some thick weather stripping and it is fine, I think. BTW on the inspiration. Without the kerfing I might still be hitting my head against the wall. What a great idea!

I Put the air in today and boy do I have to vent. The unit got real hot on the sides. I just hate the thought of cutting another hole  :?

The rest are in the album and photobucket.

It has been a trip and I thank the whole forum but especially the people on this thread who encouraged me along the way.

Blessings to you all!

Yeah I still got to finish it but it is raining and I can't get it back in the garage.

Aunti M,

Great job! I just joined the forum yesterday and have been reading your build thread this afternoon. I love the work you have been doing.

Back aways, you asked if anyone knew the surge current on your AC unit.
I am an electrical automation technician and have been working with motor controls and circuits in industry since 1963. I wouldn't worry about the surge current. Surge current only lasts for a very short time considering the run time of the unit. And the heat buildup in the wiring is insignificant during that surge time. I don't remember if you mentioned the BTU rating of the unit, but a small AC won't be any problem on your circuit. I assume your breaker is a 20 amp breaker? Even if it were a 15 amp breaker, you shouldn't have any problems. And I saw some yellow romex cable hanging out the side of the trailer at one point so I am assuming you used 12 ga wire on every thing anyway. I think you are just fine.

Thank you very much for the compliment and the information. I did indeed 14-2 Romex for the ac and have a 12 gage for shore hookup. Wired like a house. Fortunately we have some experience with that and all the ac is at the galley so wiring is easy. (Mike is wholesale elec. for 33 years)

I am thinking I wanted to consider the air, a microwave and hairdryer. I put in 2 15's so the air and tv are on one and the galley is on the other. 8) Though I really can't be sure why I wanted that information. :?

Thanks Sam! ;)

;) Thanks Barrie,
You would think someone with no specific job would have time to run off and camp everyday. ;) I'm working on it but I gotta save lots of money to get to Louisiana cause it is a long drive.
