Dear Friends - A true story... Continues & Conclusion

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Heikki... I'm glad things worked out for you... I'm glad you met your extended family... Regardless of what happens, keep in touch with them... family is important.

Perhaps now you can have a quiet time with your mother to find out what really happened in the past ... to ease your soul. Now is not the time to hide things... now is the time to open up... hope all things work out for you.... ;)

Heikki, Thanks so much for sharing the out come. What a touching story. I am so happy for you getting to see your mother after so many years and your sister you had never meet before. At least you know the negativity came from the aunts and not your mother. They could be acting out of greed or thinking that they know what is best for other people, either way it can cause a lot of pain for other people.
It sounds like you are on the road to making peace with your mother, what a special gift before she dies.
I am thrilled it has worked out so well for you so far. May it continue to do so.
Your friend, Martha ;)

It's good to hear everything worked out more or less (nothing ever goes exactly as we'd like) the way you had hoped it would.
I know about the relatives acting like vultures thing, something very similar happened with my grandma. Lot's of antiques and such, there was nearly a war.
At least now you know the truth of it anyway. Glad for you it wasn't your mom's doing!!! :applause: :applause: :applause:

Heikki!!

I'M CRYING AT WORK! Ahh, I guess I'll just say I have hay fever. Beautiful story and I am so glad for you, that you had and took the opportunity to visit your mother and sister. I am sure that it will bring you a peace that you haven't had before.

This week must be one of reunions; My wife and I have just recently adopted our son, Max (8 months ago!). We have spent a fair amount of time with his birth mother, Gloria, since she chose us as adoptive parents. Recently, one of her older children, Zachy (who lives with his father and stepmother) was told by his stepmother, "Gloria had a baby while she was gone and now you have a brother that you'll never see or play with." This stepmother gives truth to the "evil" nickname. Two days ago, Zachy and Gloria came over to our house to visit with Max and spend some time together. We are so happy to have them as a part of Max's life.

People who try to separate blood relatives from even meeting each other deserve to live with themselves and their own conscience.

May you fully enjoy the time that you have with your sister and mother,

Greg :) :)

Heikki--

I haven't had a chance to log on for a few days. I sure wish I could have sent you 'best of luck' wishes before this. Now I am sniffling at work. I am so glad to hear/read things have turned out well. You can't go back in time, but you can improve the future. It's good to hear Finnboy had a chance to meet Grandma. Just because your sister and brother don't share a father doesn't mean they are any less of siblings. Family is not just in your genetic make-up, but in your heart too. Our thoughts are with you and your family - in Finland and Australia. :applause:

Ok I cry when things are over and work out good. What a tearjerker. :D Tell your family we are all praying for your mom and all of you. Remember Heikki if she isn't feeding herself she may also have some memory issues and not be able to give you all the answers you would like.

Remember also my friend, to not let your heart harden too much toward her family. That is not good for you or her. ;)

To each and everyone Im thankful for the prayers and support so I thougt its my duty to tell you all is ok here thus far. Ive read all your replies and wishes over and over again..they mean a lot to me and my family..

My sister is a humerous and funny person and I love her Australian accent. She is with our mother which about 200 kilometers from where we live..

Our oldest boy was the coolest, gentleman and loving boy I ever saw. His statement was that .. Dad Finally I got to meet my real Grandma and he gave her a big hug and kiss..and he tried to hold back his tears as we all did while looking at her in the hospital bed weak and frail but still saw the happiness in her eyes..

So not bad.. I havent been on too much but just wanted to tell you all Im doing fine and Im outside working on the tear..

Everyone Thank You.. Not a second goes by when I think of you all even though Im so far away..

Warm thoughts and wishes to all my friends here on the Forum..

I,ll put up a picture for you in about 30 minutes..I just want to share it with you..

Best regards
Classic Finn and the Finnish/Australian Family

PS Time to eat a late Tea.. 8) 8) Ask an Australian what that means ...I just heard it too..

That's all I can say. Those pictures say a lot.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).
