Food Planner Board for LCGII (One stop info listing)

Well, LCGII is the same weekend as the Texas Truck Rodeo, so the only thing Dodge has in the way of a press pickup is a Ram 2500 4X4 QuadCab pickup. I don't think I could even see my TD behind that beast, so I'm not likely to go for that.

Since I'll either have a Mercedes SUV or my own little car, it's not looking good for my smoker to make the trip.

So, it's looking like veggies for me. :(

OR, I can bring a few (or several) bags of Kingsford and some smoking wood for someone with a smoker. Those pack easy.

I have four good sized sacks of pecan chunks, and I'll be glad to buy some charcoal. Harvey? Steve? Dave? Beuller? Beuller? Beuller?

CD, I think I've got it figured out how to bring my smoker. It's not quite as big as the one I had at PJ, but has two racks. The top rack won't allow as much height as the bottom but it'll still hold probably a couple of smaller (say 3-4lbs) pork butts or comparable. I've got a 7#'er & may pick up another smaller one, so bring on whatever ya got & we'll figure out a way to do it even if we hafta smoke 'em for a couple of hours & then wrap 'em in foil & finish up on the charcoal grill (that's what I usually do anyway since if I leave 'em in the smoke too long, they don't taste as good to me). I use charcoal in the smoker & small chunks of wood (pecan, hickory, maple, mesquite, etc.) for the smoke. Somehow or other we'll 'git-er-done' . I don't like this smoker as well as the other cause the water pan directly between charcoal & the lower rack seems to keep the temp lower than I like. I usually use the water pan for first hour or two just to keep the meat from charring, then wrap the meat in foil, remove the water pan & let it it cook slowly for next few hours. Did a 5# butt for the family yesterday & it turned out pretty good so I ain't too apprehensive 'bout doin' it at LCG. See ya there!

It is a proven fact that eating greens is bad for you. Consider this--everyone who eats greens eventually dies. Coincidence? I don't think so.

My mom loved eating greens, and she is loong gone and I am still here. do you need more proof?

Hey, Scott--was that a bald joke? Remember, I am responsible for making your name tag. Hmm . . .

Revenge is a dish best served cold, without greens!
