General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Got some more paint work done this weekend.
The stripe color matches my '68 Rebel wagon. Still need the logos and will have winglets on the upper edge ala Shasta.

The top is mobile home aluminized asphalt paint, we wanted something that had the old trailer look without the expense of aluminum sheet. That will come later.
The interior is coming along and we hope to take it out for a test Thanksgiving weekend.

Really nice build! I was hoping that someone would post another Puffin-type / TTT build. I like the "nostalgic" touches like the roof paint and the classic stripe. The windows are a perfect match too.
You mentioned doing a bed/dinette...what's your plan for that?
How about some interior pix!??!!?
I know you will enjoy camping with it.

Steve, "The Puffin Master" has a bed/dinette in the Puffin. I have storage under my bed. Half will be accessible from the inside (see one of the earlier pics) and half from the outside. I haven't cut out the doors for the outside access yet.
I have a table hinged to the street side just below the smaller window. That will allow us to eat, play cards inside if need be. One person will have to sit on the edge of the bed and the other on a bench in the left front corner where the bathroom is in the Puffin. That bench will cover the Porta Potti during off hours. The bench will also be able to double as an extension on the end of the counter to allow someone to bunk there if need be. The counter is 24" wide x 48" long. The bench fills in the gap to the left wall.
I'll add pics when I get some of the interior so hold your horses already.

No Mike, that picture was taken in my front yard. Well in front of my house at least. Those rocks were taken out for my water and sewer system installation.
Where is Kanrocks? Ever been to Randolph on Tuttle Creek?

Nice Job Jack. I like it a Lot. I'm just about finished my tear and went camping in it this past weekend at LCG2. Had a great time. I would like to try and build a ttt next. My intentions is to find and old popup like you did.
Thanks for sharing the pictures and I hope there is more to come. Keep up the good work.

Due to rain/scheduling conflicts and everything else this was the first time to get the TTT out off the driveway. We took it out to Melvern Lake and it pulled really well even with my 4 cyl Ranger with 278,000 miles.

Took it by the scales and it weighs 1300# dry with AC and microwave installed.

This is cheap labor.

No pics of the interior yet. More paint and trim left but at least it is campable as is.
Daughter has it reserved for July 4th weekend.

Sorry for the poor pics. I had a disposable camera I need to finish off.
