Doesn't surprise me... I spent too many years on the road to expect anything better. Hotels & motels hire the cheapest housekeeping labor they can get... minimum wage at best. I know of a couple local hotels that prefer to hire county jail inmates that are on work release and probation, because they usually will show up for work and they get them cheap. As for training, all it usually amounts to is one day following another housekeeper around... if that. Then go to work. They are only required to make a room look good. I would be willing to bet you could look at a 100 random hotels housekeepers carts and not find clean glassware on any of them? No way would I drink out of a hotel glass ever. And, yep... Our little tears sure have them beat.

:o Way too early in the morning. Maybe if you must stay in a hotel you should follow the maid. If she doesn't have clean glasses from the kitchen on the rack----Run very fast ...........................

Way too many dangerous diseases out there for this. Anyone notice most didn't use gloves either. So you are getting their diseases too. :(

this just wrecked my weekend. I have reservations for 2 nights in a motel. Not a 4 star either!
think I will take my own glasses and sleeping bag. just might take a bottle of bleach with me too.

Would love to take the tear but rain and two dogs just doesnt mix well.

Ugh!! That is disgusting! I'll be bringing my own cup along from now on!! Makes you wonder what else they are skimping on, like washing the sheets?!!! Thanks for sharing that Danny, now maybe I won't get sick the next time I travel.

I'm going to act like an Osterich and shove my head into the sand. What I don't know won't kill me. Right? I have to stay in way too many dives.

But maybe I'll bring my own paper cups :applause:

Atlanta did something! Here, I'm not too sure they would have responded?

I don't think they tested dives. They might get too much attention from the local health depts to get away with that. What ever happened to sealed in plastic glasses? Years ago they came sealed so you would know if they were clean or at least think it.

The worst part is that the dives are the best places in some of the town that I have to go to.

Do you take your own sheets and blankets to a hotel? Let's not even talk about thoses . . .
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.
