Julie, If you do decide to go, Ft Worth is about the half way point for you. Depending how early you leave OKC, we could meet up and drive to the park together.

dooner , since I can not make it this wkd :( sick kids,
can you make some beer bread in my place? It's easy.

Easy Bread

For each loaf you need 2 cups all purpose flour, one stick butter, pinch salt, and a 12-oz bottle of beer.

Melt the butter in a loaf pan; pour half into a bowl with the sifted flour and salt. Now pour half the beer into the bowl, mix everything up, pour it back into the loaf pan and bake it at 375 F for 25-30 minutes.

I use these ingredients:

but if you have an HEB nearby the store brands work fine.

I'll see what I can do, if I have time. I'm still trying to get my td ready for this weekend. But it does sound like something to try.

I stopped appropriately disposing of beer 11 years ago. I'll have to recap it and let you take care of it for me. :)

Saturday Breakfast

Postby Cindy » Thu Nov 15, 2007 7:24 am

Hey, I'll do breakfast on Saturday Morning for everyone that gets up early enough to eat. Maybe by 8:30. I don't dutch oven like Trudy but I can make a mean breakfast anyway. Dave will have coffee made as soon as he gets up. See you there.

I don't really know how to make much of anything. I can make a mess, but that's about it.

Would cookies be cool for the potluck? I have a friend offer to help me with those tonight. I just hope I don't burn the house down.

Steve,

Cookies are alway welcome, but don't think you have to cook to be able to contribute. You can always bring things like paper plates, or plastic utensils.

Just trying to help you out of the "cooking thing" and possibly save your house!
