Special Christmas Card list....

Postby Miriam C. » Thu Nov 15, 2007 10:28 am

I got this in the mail and decided this would be a great place to share it.

Every year many are alone during special holidays and the "cheer" of the rest of the world can make being alone seem more intolerable for some. This seems like such a wonderful idea.

Send and extra Christmas Card to a Soldier or send a bunch.

While you are thinking about it I am sure there are other holidays where cards will be appreciated. I like to send out Thanks Giving cards since it is my favorite holiday.

For those of you who do not share in Christmas celebrations, I bet there are specific holidays a soldier may share with you too.

Thought it was a great idea, myself when I first heard about it. I checked Snopes, though and they must discard any cards unopened that are sent addressed to unnamed soldiers due to security reasons. Here's the Snopes URL.

Sorry to rain on your parade. :(

Maybe SGT Hall could get us the names of his regiment and we could all send cards there :)

you can send them to your local veterans hospital. We do it every year with the kids and there has been no problems.
