Well, this weekend was a step toward the start of the build. I bought a 1971 Lark popup camper for the bargain price of $100. It was in need of canvas and had some rot, but it did offer up some things that I may be able to use later such as: Ice box (like an electric but only uses ice, and has a drain), water jug, sink faucet w/pump, electric frig, table top w/fold leg, camp stove, door w/screen, door handle, t-handle, and of course the frame w/axle, and stabilizers which I spent yesterday stripping so thats its bare. The axle seems to be a bit narrow with it measuring 48" from the inside of spindle, to inside of spindle. Im thinking I may need to widen the axle so Im thinking after I get what wheels I will use, I'll cut the spindles loose and mount them to a new piece of stock along with adding a drop if needed for a nice lowered stance. I still have to finish up my boat project, so Im just gathering materials in the meantime.
Frame measures 6x12 roughly
