You are right about the Holland thing, here are the most caravans per head of the citizens, but as you know, in caravan world they don't use fenders.
Look in your own Suomi, KABE, Solifer, Polar and SMV don't use fenders outside their caravans. I guess you have to look in the motorcycle buiseness to find fenders as they use for their trailers. As far as I know, my neighbour, a real motorman, lets his motorparts always chrooming by a special brand. Tomorrow I shall ask him about this one.

Nope the ones above dont use the outside fenders... ;)

Hey Heikki,

These are tractor fendes.

To big for your tear? With these you can make an off-road teardrop.

Greetings, Henk

Heikki,

Northern Tool has some interesting fenders that I will probably be using. They are reasonably bright aluminum treadplate in 14 guage. If you used some flat treadplate somewhere else in the design (maybe a front stone guard) it might look complementary. Since it is aluminum it might need to be polished a little from time to time, but I think that the alloy that they use for the bright treadplate seems to hold a shine for quite a while...how many people spend time polishing their stone guards? Don't know, it might even be clear anodized.

Slight downside for standard teardrop is that both edges have a radius rather than having one edge with a square corner to mate up to the side of the tear. You'd have to work that out.

Available for 13" wheels and for 14"/15" wheels, exact size online. Link to 14" size:

Well Greetings JB ..Pleasure to hear from you.

This searching for the fenders is for my next builds so Ive been looking here on the home front but gee they are too narrow...

The selection here is just not so great.. well ok no one is building teardrops either..except for this crazy Finn.. :D :D

I,ll have to think about the tread plate..

Thanks Heikki

Don't forget that Babelfish now does Dutch to English (and vice versa) translations - though it finds about 50% of Dutch words to difficult to translate, the 50% it does translate can be useful!

Hi Andrew,

With the translator babelfish is don't forget in dutch "forget" without the not, so if you use it you have to read between the lines .

Good luck, Henk

aluminum fenders

Postby eamarquardt » Wed Nov 28, 2007 8:10 pm

I bought some nice aluminum fenders from a local shop that makes them to order. I'm sure that they will polish up nicely, but keeping them that way might be an effort. There is a picture in my album and they were only $55 for the pair (I thought that was a bargin). Could pick some up and ship them to you if you can't find what you want.

Cheers,

Gus
