Hey there, Al!
I was going to ask if you've checked with your local independant lumber yard or hardwood supply about the availability of 5'x10' plywood (I can get it out here, no problem, except that a sheet of 3/4" costs me about $100!), but then I see where you're doing a sub-floor and all that. I'm with Jack, though ... get some 5'x5' cabinet plywood and just have one seam, over a 2x2, and yes, put a crossmember of the frame under the joint.
