Just have the in-laws coming up Thursday! Go kill our own Christmas tree on Friday, but I can't get rid of the in-laws until Sunday! :( They only live 45 miles away!

You ought to try the live Christmas tree when your kids are a bit older. Then, after Christmas, they can help you plant the tree. We did it with my in-laws a few years ago, and it became a tradition that everyone enjoys -- and it teaches the kids to be good stewards of nature.

Oh, and the tree doesn't dry out, since it is alive.

And, everyone have a good Thanksgiving, and be careful if you travel. :D

Happy Thanksgiving everyone--smelling fresh pies baking and can hardly wait till they cool down to cut into them. Have to wait till tomorrow I guess.

Ira... just having the usual made the usual way, the women don't like change or experimenting.

Smoking my bird again this year, but I'm also doing a Cajun deep fry in the turkey frier--pork loin, cobbed corn, shrimp wrapped in bacon, mushrooms, TWINKIES, plus all of the traditional sides. I might even have a beer or two.

Have a GREAT one!

Ira, have a great and over-stuffed Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Friends invited me over to share some Teardrop stories. Taking the wine, my best smile, latest jokes and going to stuff myself with good company-like you folks.
