Nope, you'd have to unscrew the tube to the adapter out of the back of the regulator and put the welder one in it. A little pi$$in' around but it saves a whole bunch of drivin' and a mostly wasted day!

I think the first thing I'm gonna try is... see if my buddy is in his shop tomorrow and just go use his MIG rig to weld it up... Then I can pick up the new stuff I need in Jacksonville while I'm over there. No extra driving... problem solved.

If he isn't there... I may just pay a local welding shop to get it done fast... Prolly as cheap as driving 180 miles round trip.

And, nasty as it is, fluxcore is nice to have around for when you run out of gas or your regulator goes kablooie.

Least you can still stick metal together... Even if you need to spend more time cleaning it up.

Doug... Naaa, mine was so old whatever battery was sealed in... not replacable. Dang... it sure has been a good one though, considering I bought it in 1994. It had to have been one of the first ones out?

Jeff... Yep, that was the answer. Just use flux-core! Took me a while to think of it though.
