Welder... Red or Blue?

Is your welder Red, Blue, White or other?

When I bought my welder I had 3 different salespeople tell me the differences and I asked for their opinion on which to buy and their replies were... Do you like red or blue? I ended up with Red.

One red, one white. At some point I will be patriotic and add the blue.

...the welder in the shop is red...but it is not a Lincoln..it is a Snap-On, made by????????...........

Got an old Lincoln Arc 225 (red) that I almost never use and a Zena MW150 (welder is silver/bare aluminum but Honda 11 hp engine that drives it is red) that I use regularly.

Got a red one. It was a good deal at the time.

I have nothing against the blue or white ones either. They often are a better deal than the red ones.

They all stick metal together...

Well since Hobart is made by Miller that really does not matter. The Hobarts are just more garage use friendly IMHO. I use a Hobart now but when I worked in the machine shop everything was blue.

I have a blue one, Millermatic 175. I looked at the Hobart and Lincoln long and hard before I bought it. the LWS was 90% of the reason I went Blue. Hobart is Miller with some lighter duty parts in a few spots, Drive wheels, selectors- taps vs Variable, etc. the remaining 10% was millers cust svc
In the 175 class the Lincon 175+ was the better deal over the older Miller 175. Miller Bumped it up to a 180 amp machine to "fix" that along with the ability to turn off wire speed tracking.

Both mine are red. An old Lincoln stick welder I've had for 35 years. And, a Daytona Mig 175 I've had since 1994 or so. Red works for me...

Mine is an Air Products brand wire feed, not sure who makes it, but it has done a great job for me for over 20 years.

Mine is red, mostly because I've used Lincolns for a lot of years and I like 'em. I've also used Miller and Hobart too, like them just fine as well.
The Lincoln 175 was the best deal when I bought mine so that is the main reason it's red.

Lincoln 225, I've owned a couple of them over the years, the one I have now was built in the '70's, bought it second hand for $75. I had an old Miller that used the big wire spools but it never got much use, I spent more time going for parts and gas than welding with it.
