Diesel cars

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

The way most states now tax diesel fuel, most of the incentive to own a diesel car are about gone - Paying 20% more for diesel than gas makes a diesel which gets only 20% better mileage a wash . . . . and you can buy gas powered cars which get in the 50 MPG range

Now for a TRUCK, especially one which is going to frequently tow heavy loads, I wouldn't look at anything else. They get MUCH better mileage, both loaded and unloaded not to mention that they perform better

IF the completely unjust taxation system on diesel fuel continues (or God forbid, gets worse) then a diesel car may not be the way to go - Truckers can pass on the extra taxes to the loads they carry . . . . a private car owner is just stuck with them
