Howdo one and all.

Firstly, are English folk allowed on here :D (please note: I do not wear a bowler hat, I have never said "jolly good show" and I'm a Yorkshireman by birth so you may need a translater  )

I'm in the process of making a trailer to pull behind my campervan (RV?) and from what I've seen so far, you folk seem to be on the ball, as it were. Looking forward to learning lots, and hopefully passing on what little I know. Oh, did I mention that I'm from Sheffield, home to Joe Cocker and the finest steel the world will ever see

Martyn.

Welcome to the forum Martyn. Yes English folk do belong to this forum along with some in Australia, and Finland to name a few. I have lots of woodturning tools from Sheffield very nice to work with. You'll find lots of great information at the top of the page. :D Danny

Hi Martyn,

Welcome to the forum. Yes, anyone from anywhere, as long as they share an interest in teardrop and tiny travel trailers. First you need to decide what you want to build and then GitRDun.

See you around.

Tssh. Can't get even that right - it's "Air Hair Lair".

I have lived in Newcastle for 25 years, but I don't come from here - round here 25 years isn't long enough to make you a local. How long does a Yankee have to live in Georgia before he becomes a local?

I am in fact a "big girl's blouse" from "doon sooth".

Welcome aboard Martyn....and Andrew, to answer your question, one of my best friends is from upstate New York(very Yankee land)...we still call him "that damn yankee"...even after, living down here for 30 years...

...applicable definitions......
a Yankee...anyone living North or West of the "Old South"
a damn Yankee...a yankee who comes to visit and stays(also know as a smart yankee)
a G** damned Yankee...a yankee who comes to visit, stays and marries a local girl :D  ;)

Awww, I knew it wasn't right, but the English lesson was so long ago, and I lost all my notes (email) so I had nothing to refer to. Thanks for the refresher!

Now we need help translating that sentence from Benthosboy!

Welcome Martyn,
1/3 of me came to the USofA from England in about the 1600's, :o met another 1/3 that was already here  , and met the last third in the 1800's from Germany, :? which has nothing to do with anything, but we all speak universial Teardrop here. Welcome aboard, and have fun :applause:

Hello Martyn,

From the other side of the Northsea, Holland, a warm welcome.
Nice to have an other member in this part of the world.
I hope you use metric numbers, because all the "and ' make it hard to understand. Have fun anyway.
