Hey Randy,

Welcome to the forum. Hope you have fun with your build. Doin' it yourself can be more fun. Sounds to me like you know what you want to build, and that's half the battle. The other half involves sweat.

See you around.

I finally had some daylight, to get started. on my "Yak Shack.I got the HF trailer put together. Dang ,it was an inch outta square.on the back, soooom I chained it to the tractor, and used a "come-a-long" and pulled it some.....

This is my first, so I am going low budget and simple. It will have a rounded front, and a square back and painted exterior..

I'll get some pictures up this evening or tomorrow.

I got the floor and the side walls up,,,,, I didn't cut the side door, because I wasn't sure if I wanted one,,,,,,, after sitting, looking at it, and thinking of those hot summer nights on the beach,,,,,, yeppers, I am gonna cut the door hole......

Daylight and rain will gauge my progress, I plan on having it dried in and painted in a few more weekends....

It will be ready in short time for the beach....

So far I am still in my budget.....

Update

Postby Randy77301 » Sun Dec 09, 2007 1:11 am

I was able to work on it a few evenings this past week, and I got abunch done Saturday.
I had finished the roof braces in the evenings during the week. Saturday, I got the interior skin on, insulated and wired the dome lights.

Got the roof glued and screwd....

And cut out my door opening.

When I am all done, I'll tell Y'all, what I used for a template for the front ..
