Noob from SW Louisiana

Hello all, I Found this site via a google search re conversion of an enclosed cargo trailer to a camper.

Now, instead, I am thinking of building a "flatop" slidein camper so as to utilize the 4x8 utility trailer I already own.

Great forum, many good ideas already from reading prior posts/viewing pics.

I will continue to gather thoughts/ideas over the next few months and (maybe!) attempt a build late Spring/Summer.

Welcome to the forum. If you have any questions, please ask. I don't think what you are trying to do is going to be real hard, but I would have to see more details. Anyway, if we can help, just ask, and as you start your build, be sure and post pictures.

What I am going to attempt is similar to that which Starleen2 has already done!

My utility trailer is in storage but I am going to more seriously evaluate this idea over the coming weekend.

Welcome Kip..we have several members(with tears) in the Lake Charles area...hope to see ya at a gathering one of these days...Ray Roberts(TX) in Dec, Beaver's Bend OK in the spring, Petit Jean AR in the summer and my birthday bash at Lake Bistineau (near Shreveport) in Oct...there will be others, so keep an eye on the South Central section.........

I keep looking at what others have done and I am inspired to attempt a build.

The Weekender plan looks like something I could accomplish....eventually!
