Will we still be at the Du Bois branch? Anybody post directions?

Let's plan on Dec. 7th.

I just called the Du Bois Branch. They said that for December reservations, we should call Austin (512) 389-8900. As usual, the area has water and electric. Specific sites are selected when you check in. In December, I will check in on Thursday night and can reserve sites for those who paid in advance.

Julie and anyone else you can use the Google Map link I posted on page four to figure you own personal route from and to the part. Just use the TO: or FROM: function and leave the park address in.

I know the map was from the park to Denton Texas you can change and remap using the same map and leave the park in as a start or end destination.

I though it would help any one using a different route to get to the park.

I hope this will help.

HAVE FUN ! I WISH I WAS THERE !

Hi all, bad news
I had a wreck in my truck yesterday on the way home from work so Tammy & I won't be able to camp this weekend. No one was hurt. The truck is not driveable. However we are planning to come out Saturday afternoon for potluck & Chinese gift giving. See you all there.

* Woodie,

I am soooo sorry to hear that! I am glad that no one was hurt though. We will look for you on Saturday.

Well wishes,

* From Oklahoma, it's practically a straight shot and a left turn. Take I-35 from OK. Take the Hwy 455 exit in Sanger, Texas and turn left under I-35, and head east. After about 10 miles you will see the dam (bridge). Go across it. Look to your left because w/in less than 1/2 mile you will see the park entrance.

See you all there,

Todah

Woody,

Glad to hear everyone is OK. Trucks can easily be replaced.

Well, things are going well on the next issue of the magazine, so I am taking Friday off. I'll head for camp when I get up and have some breakfast. If I leave home by 10:00, I should be there by 10:20.

This will be like camping in my backyard.

Well, finally got my heater fixed today - Thursday !!!!!!
So I'm in a better mood and thawed out...

But had to take off work to meet the repair guy two different times so I don't think I can take off work till about 3 which makes me leaving OKC like around 4 which means some of that dreaded traffic. Willl there be much traffic coming thru Denton? tell me YES and I'll stop at the big casino on the way ! hahaha

AGAIN ABOUT THIS GIFT EXCHANGE THING ---- it is GAG gifts or REAL gifts? I really don't know what to bring ... well, kinda have an idea but is there a monetary limit ????

I may not get there till campfire time so keep a seat for me !!!
Will the park be easy to find in the pitch dark? Is it well marked ya think?

Julie, you don't actually need to go into Denton. You will skirt Denton on the North side.

You will get off of I-35 in Sanger, and take 455 over to the park. You will cross the Dam and in a little bit, you will see the park on your left.

Traffic on 35 should not get bad until South of Denton on I-35-E, so don't sweat it.

We'll be there to help you set up. Take your time. Be safe.

CYA!
