Hello everyone from almost the Great Lakes state.

I live in Indianapolis Indiana but am originally from Michigan. I am an avid scuba diver in the Great Lakes which is where the trailer comes in. I actually wondered if I would even be accepted on this forum with a cargo trailer but after looking around I found there were many more with the same visions. I love to camp, dive and work on my trailer so this site was such a pleasant surprise. Tou might want to know a little about my project. Well, my dad had a 6X10 pace which he ironically bought in Elkhart Indiana about 10 years ago. He mentioned last July that he wanted a larger trailer and the rest is history. I purchased his, and after several trips back to Michigan I have completed many of my projects. My dad and I installed windows which he had bought but never installed. We installed an RV latch, built a bulkhead storage area and installed 2" foam insulation throughout. This storage project has not yet been completed but will be soon. I installed Wall to Wall carpet, wood sealer on the walls, and marine radio antenna on the roof along with a flying V TV antenna. My dad had built door inserts for the barn door and the side door entrance which I put screen and screen molding on to keep the black flies out while camping on the shores of Lake Superior this upcoming dive season. This trailer is so fun to work on with many projects to come. I hope to gain knowledge from everyone on this site to better complete each and every upgrade I may have. I look forward to posting photos soon once I figure out how.

Looks like you did pretty good on your conversion, and yes, many here also have or are in the process of cargo trailer conversion. What does your trailer weigh?

You've come to the right place, there are some real nice cargo conversions on here. prohandyman from Greenwood has a real nice one he built.

I appreciate the welcomes and plan to do a lot of reading here on this site. There is such a wealth of information that I don't even know where to start. I am not sure what the trailer weighs but I will check into that. It is plated in the 1,200# class but does not weigh that much. It is nice to see so many hooisers out there. Toy Pusher, I was able to put photos in my album but still cannot seem to get them on a post. I will have to work on this a bit more.

This coming summer I will be tugging my trailer close to you on my way to Port Huron or Port Sanilac. I am from Battle Creek. I transplanted myself down here in '02 but venture back to the North Country many times each summer.
