Any good stuff for Christmas???

Postby Dooner » Thu Dec 27, 2007 10:44 am

Did you get any camping stuff or maybe any items for your trailer this year(07) for Christmas?

My family was very good to me this year. I got exactly what I asked for and one extra item that I didn't.

1. A First Up brand 10x10 canopy/gazebo
2. The wind curtain/privacywalls for said canopy/gazebo
3. The screen curtain for said canopy/gazebo
And the extra item
4. The camping rope lights for said canopy/gazebo

I was very  to get it all. And to say the least, VERY VERY HAPPY :D to get them. My family is very wonderful to me. I didn't think I had been that good this past year.

So how did everyone else make out?

My sister and her husband gae me a Garmin eTrex GPS unit. Suuweeet. Now I won't have to worry about getting lost in the Cypress trees at Lake Bistineau in October.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

One of the best Christmases EVER! I got something I've never had before - an extended family (Kate's), one with which I am looking forward to spending many Christmases (and birthdays and other holidays) to come!

Happy Third Day of Christmas,

Don't worry Danny, I'm sure that there are a lot more nuts still in Virginia!!! :D

I got a Braun electric shaver and cleaning/charging system (Model 8985). I also got a digital video/still camera. It is low end, but I can now take quick videos and transfer them directly to my PC. (Hope to do a couple of tutorials to post). Other stuff was for the wife and I jointly, like $400.00 cash from her folks!!!

I bought myself a new canopy for my truck and a new ipod classic. My Dad got me a food saver so I can seal up the items I want to take camping with me.

P.S. My wife gave me a stern talking to for spending too much.

A small 10MP digital camera so I can take pictures at gatherings. My "work" camera is too big, HEAVY, and expensive to carry around.

The new one has a belt-case so I can always be ready to shoot when a fellow TDer does something embarrassing.

Oh, and my Dad got a new HD video camera for Christmas, so he gave me his old DV video camera. Bonus.

Well, so far, it sounds like evryone made out pretty good. Congrats to everyone for their new and used stuff.

Danny, after seeing all the toys that my kids got that needs AA batteries, I think you did better than I did. I need to buy some stock in some battery company. :?

Hiekki, I know my wife would argue the point about me being good all year, but she still seems to come through for me at Christmas. And lighten up on that after shave, whew, I can smell it from here.

TPMcGinty and Tonyj, I dodn't need no stinkin GPS. I'm a MAN with an internal compass. No matter which way I go, it's the right direction.     Oh hell, where am I?

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
