Kevin and Dean are going down to Public Works ######. That should put them first in line when the doors open at 6:30 am on 1-2-08! kevin is taking his tear and Dean is bringing a dish for the tv so they can watch the games. food will be cooked. The rest of us will pop in and out.

Sorry, Eunice.

It's gettin' vedy intresting...
It just might snow on us waiting in line... At sea level even.
Kevin just called me and he's getting sick.
Working on a roof all afternoon in freezing rain and wind didn't do me any good either...
Hey Scott,
The way the weather's been I don't think we'll have any problem being first in line...
BTW- If anyone wants to join us, we'll be watching the bowl games via sat tv and scarfing on DO prime rib on New Year's Day.
Info will be posted on January 2nd. (We'll be shooting for July 23rd-27th '08 )

Tactics?? Yeah we have tactics! I'm going to start a rumor about what a terrible event it is. That way I can scare folks away and ensure that I get a prime camping spot!!

Joanne

Dean & Kevin, thank you so much! If I were closer I would do a stint in line so you guys could get a break.

Joanne...I plan on getting there way early in the week to help Dean set up, and you know what a wonderful place it is...I'll bet ya I beat you there...I just thought a couple of days with no one in there would be really relaxing. Just depends on who gets what days prior to our event. Doug

Good news...
A warm air mass has moved into the area this evening... No threat of snow at sea level anyways.

We are planning on coming this year. I can hardly wait for the dates. Then we can let David's sisters know not to plan the family reunion for those dates.

Dean, I want get in on the IRG 2.0 fun, too. The SLO Gathering hooked me on going to more gatherings, especially yours in a beautiful NorCal redwood forest. How are you going to do sign ups?

Steve,
First come first serve across the board. (Registration and campsites)
The county does require us to stop at 250 people... If registration reaches that point we'll have to declare the event sold out.
Individual campsites are not assigned, but we do ask that the upper level be left for folks with disabilities and for older folks who have problems getting around. (There is a set of stairs on the lower level that lead up to the cookshack on the upper area)
We also ask that "tenters only" use the large tent area.
