I am looking for a nice retro type light fixture for my license plate which will be mounted on the galley hatch. Anyone know where I can find one? Thanks.

I got one of Grants. I'm really happy with it. Haven't gotten it installed yet, no deck to install it on, but it looks great holding it up in the air where it is going to install. And don't anyone tell me they haven't done that!!! Doug Hodder

my plate holder is from Model A Mike. Got it when I got the Model A light;

The skin is on now and it looks better

Tony, I have a dumb question. I should know this but does that whole assembly mount on the exterior of the hatch or do you cut a hole for the light to poke through? I'm thinking the former but either way I still need a frame right?
Kai, I looked at your trailer pictures. Is your license plate light also a 3rd stoplight? Hard to tell from the photo. Thanks, George.

Yes the center light is also a center stop light. I tore apart one of those lights that goes in the hitch receiver and salvaged the little electrical box that makes the center light work off of the two stop lights.

The whole assembly mounts on the exterior of hatch deck. You need a hole for the wire and a couple of screw holes to mount it. I've added a couple of pictures to give you a better idea of the part.

The first pic shows the underside of the unit and the lense area. There is a black rubber grommet about 3/4" thick between lense/light assembly and the plate frame. (pic not clear enuf - sorry)

This pic show the back side. The unit has a waterproof grommet to seal the wire. You can see the two mounting screws as well.
