We had a thaw today... so I may be able to pull it out tomorrow, and take the door off, so I can do some small stuff in there for the next 11 weeks... Geesh, after today I'd like to think winter is over, but alas, 11 weeks to go...

Mike , How's this one going ??? We're underway on the small "Airliner" project... again , and when we 're done it 'll be time to build a "big one" ... Been doing lots of thinking on how to do all the "necessary" stuff (for the wife)and stay under 2k lbs.
The idea of a large "canned Ham" standy ,very similar to this one, seems both practical and nostalgic... :thinking:

It's still tucked away in it's carport... and cabin fever is driving me nuts... I gotta out figure a way to work on it...

Hey Mike! Are you starting to get the shakes? I noticed your initial plans for the OWW, and the Generic ET has been under wraps due to the cold season. Is this a form of teardropaholic.

It must be...

I think a good warm weekend would cure it... But we are in a deep freeze, and more snow is on the way... the warm weather seems so far away...

Maybe I should put up a workshop sized greenhouse with supplemental lighting. I could play out there all winter long, and think it's summer! :lightbulb:

I've been looking at the ET, I really like the design. Its a good blend of
old styling and modern convenence. Hope to see some more pics soon.
Good luck with the weather. We actually got somw snow yesterday in north Louisiana. I'm sure Madjack proboly got some too. Its gone today tho :D . I need a workshop too. Everytime I get one built, i end up moving. Maybe its a subliminal thing, i was too bad in a former life to get to work in a shop. I'm about to go get some metal and get out in the yard.
I've got to get gone before the wife catches on and trys to change my plans :o , shes got a list a mile long .

We managed to pull the ET out of the porta-garage today. No, our snow isn't gone yet, and the tires were sitting in an inch of ice... but we managed to get the Equinox inbetween the house and the porta-garage, and pull it out of the ice. Once free, it was fairly easy to pull it out the rest of the way by hand. We did however trash the grass in the backyard; it's all mud now. But I've got the trailer out and in the carport again. Tomorrow I start working on it again. It's about time eh? What has it been, about 3 1/2 months?

Anyways, I don't know how visible the progress will be, but I'll keep you all posted! :D

Thats funny, I work on the TD in the winter and stop working on the TD in the summer because its just to miserably hot to be outside.

Just the opposite for you Yanks. :lol:

Yea, that's funny. I'll bet you don't do much outside in the summer down there... I enjoy my summers, but here it's too short... from Memorial Day to Labor day, that's pretty much it... And up in the UP, I guess their summers are only 6 weeks long. I can't even imagine dealing with snow for 46 weeks or so out of the year...

Anyways, here's the ET, back in the carport, beckoning for me to get some work done...
