Cindy,

Sorry y'all can't make it. I just picked a weekend that did not interfere with other gatherings....did not want to get it too close to others.

Pat,

Yes, distances do make a big difference wheather we can go or not. Both Beavers Bend and LCG are over 500 miles and eight hours of driving for us, so it requires Joyce to take a day off from work. And then, we have to get up early on Sunday morning and leave.

Want a potty?

Postby Cindy » Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:12 pm

Hey, look at some of the pictures of the Bluebonnet. I have a curtain room on my side and have my potty in there. It really comes in handy when we are a distance away from the restrooms. :D
Lots of people use those Potty shelters. Just remember to use the stakes to secure them down. One night I was awakened in the middle of the night to go help chase down a shelter that blew away while my friend was using the facilities. That was kind of exciting. :?

Not a very good picture, but here's one of our SUV tent attached to the side of the TD. With it, we have a space for the potty, and dressing room space. I like it because you don't even need to put on your pants to go to the potty in the middle of the night.

How Many is in a "Quorum"

Postby Sardines » Mon Jan 14, 2008 12:12 pm

So, I see Bullshipper and ArkPat are definite Maybes. Steve H is the instigator Randy might bring his 5th wheel and sonetpro and Rwhitley are maybe definites. I guess that means that Janie and I might try and come too. Put us in the category of "certainly possible". Weather shouldn't be too bad, and we have a heater. If worse comes to worst, we can snuggle and watch movies!

Don't think I can make it out. I have to fly out of town the week before. I don't think I can take days off the following week too. Hopefully I can hook up with everybody at another gathering.

Sorry to hear it, Rocky. Looks like it will be a small "gathering", and we'll miss you. Hope some others can join in the fun. Should be a perfect time of the year in S. Texas to camp....hopefully not too hot, and not too cold.
