Rich, It will be good to finally meet you.

Paul, no kids to this one. But I did get the TOW Line today so I can pick local gatherings to take them.

Count us in! The trailer's not done yet, but maybe this will light a fire under me. I was bucking for the title of "World's Slowest Builder", but I guess I can give it up for a good cause.

The check's in the mail!

Bledsoe and Lazybones will have to cough up one of their raffle tickets for not putting down their mileage, in fact... Jim's gotta cough up two for not putting the number of people in his party down. :R

Dean!

That's an unanserable question for a lot of us, ahead of time I mean. Do you have any idea how many ways there are to Pamplin Grove just from Redding? I took one way there in '06, then retraced part of that route and took off on a whole 'nuther to come home ... ...

And which mileage do you want from Lee? The direct route from Willits? Or, the combined miles from Willits to Mendo and on up the coast to Leggett and then to Pamplin?

And ... how many routes are there from Portland, Jim? Which one ya gonna take? And, what if ya decide to join us for Mendo ... will those miles count, too?

See what I mean, Kee-MO-saw-bayyy? And, that's just three of us! You done opened a can o' worms with that question, Pard! What say a bunch of us that didn't answer that one conspire ta shake the Nord down an git ar tickets back ... ... ...?

Sounds good to me... Rumble in the Redwoods sound good???

 ... (On second thought)
Ya know... I'm already taking the maximum dosage of Aleve just to get around these days. :(
And besides... I don't like it when the deck is stacked against me.
Last time that happened, back in my drinking days of course, I talked my out of it... Oh, and became blood brothers to several members of the Karuk tribe.

Nah... The Vike aint takin' anyones tickets, just want everyone to fill out the form as asked to, especially how many are in the party.
If anyone needs help on the mileage thing, just go to the Maps page on the IRG website and click on the Mapquest link... You can alter your route to your own choosing to get the accurate mileage for your chosen route.
Nitetimes listed both for me...

Grant,
You've seen my office, so you know that I'm no accountant, but I do have accountant tendencies to do fun little things like this...

1. So far, we have eleven different states and two different countries coming to IRG2.0.
2. So far, folks will be traveling a combined total of 31,907 miles just to get to Pamplin Grove... That works out to roughly $7,445 in gas so far just to get to the grove.

Crunching numbers can be fun when it's not tax related...

Awhh Darnit!!!... I forgot to add 1 mile to each registrant's total that's not included in the Mapquest destination addy.

Mandy and I are scheming/talking/plotting/planning/scrimping/figuring.... well, trying to figure out if we can share the trip and make it there to represent NM and OK . Is there a limit on # of people/trailers? Will we totally miss out if we wait till April or so to register?

Please tell me there's still a possibility!!!!!!

Julie

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Dean ...

... I kind of figured what you were gonna do with those numbers ... and you know I was just funnin' with ya ... :R ... but you really do need to allow for people like Lee & I & others who don't know (and won't know) which route we take 'til we leave the house ... ...!

I mean, I'm planning to go to Mendo the weekend before IRG2.0, and a quick look at the map just now shows about half-a-dozen ways to get there (most of which I haven't taken, yet!) ... so you see my point, right?

How about this for a little fun at the grove: list all the folks who didn't give you their mileage on the reg. form on a big white grease board with a space after their names where they can write in their numbers after they get there. Then, you can go and add all those numbers to the ones you already have and then re-calculate ... :? ...! It'll give you something to do while the prime rib is cooking ... ... ... ... ...
