Rock,
Yeap.
Rich,
If I lived in SD, I'd be doing a Badlands gathering or living in Souix Falls with Doug Wolfgang as my next door neighbor.

snow at the IRG

Postby Oregonian » Sat Jan 19, 2008 8:35 pm

Let the snow fall. I am used to it. We have about 16 inches here in LaPine, can't compare to the Great Lakes area, but still it alot for here, so let the snow fall. :snow :snowstorm:

We hope you & your wife made it through the hollidays alright.
We will have to get to gether with you at the gathering reguarding Rogue we have been through there a few times (sounds like a real possability)
as alot of people no we never make plans we just hit the road and we end up where we end up,We should have two weeks, maybe three to hit the Hiways & Byways & everything in between.
We are looking forward to the IRG we will see you there if not sooner at another get together somewhere.

Happy Trails.

Don't know if you guys know this or not...
You can also stay on 101, bypassing 199 at Crescent City and continue up the rugged Oregon coast and catch a jetboat at Gold Beach, which offers an overnite stay on the 104 mile trip to the world famous rustic Paradise Lodge...

We have been in your nic of the woods (Beutiful area) many times, 3 times last summer alone.
We probably drove wright by your house, and reguarding the Lodge I had never heard of it myself but it may be a possibility, maybe we will check it out, But normally we do not stay in motels, & Lodges very often when we are traveling.
But that is one of the beauties of not making plans, we always seem find something new on every journey even in places that we have been before.
And we normally stay wright on the coastline ourselves and I would also suggest this to anyone, There is alot of real beautiful country to see.

Dean you probably know wright were this tree is!

Thanks for the info. Dean

Ken,
Yeap... I know right where that tree is, Uh Huh.
Did I tell you that I'm also 6'-5" tall too?

BTW- You can't drive a car to Paradise Lodge...
It's reachable by boat or small plane and I suppose by foot also. (No Joshing on that one)
